Lumose Documentation
Self-hosted diabetes monitoring with AI-powered analysis. Documentation for everyone who runs the platform, uses the apps, or contributes to the project.
Welcome to the Lumose documentation. These docs cover everything from installing the platform on your own server to using the daily features, troubleshooting issues, and (for contributors) the technical architecture.
Where to start
- Read the overview → -- what Lumose is, how it works, and what you'll need
- Get started → -- from zero to seeing your glucose
- Install the platform → -- step-by-step Docker Compose deployment
- Daily use → -- dashboards, AI chat, and alerts, which are in development
- Troubleshooting → -- common issues and fixes
- Caregivers → -- granting safe, read-only access to family members
For contributors
- Architecture and developer docs → -- internals, plugin SDK, testing, and contribution workflow
Note: Lumose is not a medical device and does not deliver insulin. It's a monitoring and analysis tool that complements professional healthcare, not a replacement for it. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.
Alerting is in active development and works only for some setups. Keep your CGM's own alerts on.
